In the News

March 16, 2022 – Please note: With the weather changes and increase in pollen in the air, several dogs have been noted to cough/hack, which is not uncommon this time of year. We continue to monitor all dogs, keeping notes for any symptoms, and will notify parents as applicable.

We do have 1 case of upper respiratory infection, so out of an abundance of caution, we are suspending daycare for the next 2 weeks to prevent the spread and boarding dogs getting sick during Masters week. We will resume daycare after Masters week.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. As always, we care deeply about the wellbeing of our guests and will continue to have their best interests at heart.

January 1, 2022 – WOOHOO!  Thank you to all our guests and their parents! Paws in Paradise Luxury Resort & Spa was voted 2021 BEST DOGGIE DAYCARE by Columbia County Magazine readers.  We also took respectable second places for best boarding place and best grooming facility. 2022, here we come!!

July 7, 2021 – Please note that Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC) is currently circulating in the CSRA. CIRDC is a highly contagious inflammation of the trachea and bronchial airways.  CIRDC is not covered by the current kennel cough vaccine.

Most cases of upper respiratory infections resolve without treatment, but medications may speed up recovery or minimize symptoms during the course of infection. More serious cases are treated with oral antibiotics and cough suppressant agents.

We have maximized our ventilation system, added additional cleaning cycles, separate any guests immediately if symptoms are observed, and are notifying parents prior to upcoming check ins. However, please be aware that symptoms may not exhibit until 5-10 days after exposure, and infection is always a possibility regardless of the best prevention measures in place.

For more information, please refer to the Merck Animal Health website as well as our flyer for more detailed information on CIRDC.
