Wellness Program

Paws in Paradise Luxury Resort & Spa is pleased to offer an on-site Wellness Program for the benefit of our guests during their stay. Crystal Lesley, our Veterinary Assistant with 24 years of experience in the field, works closely with our managers and helps oversee your pets during their stay in case medical issues arise. Paws in Paradise Luxury Resort & Spa closely collaborates with Care More Animal Hospital to offer you and your pet the best possible care so you do not have to worry while you are away.

Our Wellness Program also offers private consultations for you regarding your dogs and cats’ nutrition and/or allergy needs. Paws in Paradise Luxury Resort & Spa can also administer distemper/parvo and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations on site for your cats and dog. For Rabies vaccinations before or during your pet’s stay, Paws in Paradise Luxury Resort & Spa can transport your pet to Care More Animal Hospital, as these need to be administered by a licensed veterinarian.

Vaccines and Microchips: Administration of distemper/parvo and Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines to your dog or cat that may be coming up for renewal or are overdue, as well as implantation of microchip.  Rabies vaccine is available through Care More Animal Hospital.

DA2PP/Bordetella: $ 25.00 each // Microchip: $29.00 each

Private Consultation: $39.00

Nutrition Consultation: Private 30-minute nutrition consultation for dogs/cats of all ages, consisting of a 1-on-1 sit down with our veterinary assistant to take a deep dive into your pets nutrition and answer any questions you may have.

Allergy Consultation: Private 30-minute consultation for cats/dogs of all ages, consisting of a 1-on-1 sit down with our veterinary assistant to talk about the dreaded allergies a lot of our pets suffer from, whether environmental or nutrition-related.

In addition, our Veterinary Assistant can:

  • provide subcutaneous fluids for pet that may be undergoing fluid therapy.
  • closely monitor diabetic dogs/cats during their stay, and check blood glucose levels to make sure their glucose level remains normal (which can sometimes fluctuate due to stress).
  • provide probiotics to your dog/cat should any stress diarrhea occur or prevent it, if you know your pet is prone to stress.
  • deworm your dog/cat or, if you prefer, notify your veterinarian or collaborate with Care More Animal Hospital to have them dewormed if any intestinal worms are noted during their stay.
  • offer prescription food, through our collaboration with Care More Animal Hospital.
